Acer ConceptD 7 Ezel and Ezel Pro

Acer ConceptD 7 Ezel: New PCs for creative people in search of power

At CES 2020, Acer unveiled its new ConceptD 7 series, featuring 15-inch notebooks with a special feature: their screens can turn over and move freely without having to turn the computer upside down.

At the CES, Acer is showcasing ConceptD 7 Ezel and Ezel Pro, Windows 10 hybrids that can take multiple positions to facilitate the development work of today’s digital inventors.

The tablet, classic laptop or presentation screen modes are just examples of the possibilities offered by the Ezel dual-hinge screen.

Power and beauty

The pearlescent white case is resistant to abuse (staining and corrosion) and the matching keypad with orange backlighting contrasts with the black 15.6-inch touchscreen. The 15.6-inch touch screen is anti-reflective, has thin edges and is factory-calibrated.

It should also be added that several colorimetric profiles are preset by Acer and to be activated via embedded software.

In addition, it is possible to take notes or draw directly on the surface using the Wacom EMR stylus supplied with the beast. The beast yes, because the classic Ezel 7 or the Ezel 7 Pro can adopt a very powerful configuration.

The Ezel 7 and 7 Pro are integrated into Nvidia’s RTX Studio program and take advantage of dedicated graphics drivers designed to enhance the GPGPU (computation on the graphics processor in addition to the CPU) when supported by production and creative applications.

As for the Concept 7 Ezel Pro, it’s a mix of Intel Xeon processors that powers it.

It can also carry a lot more RAM, such as ECC (write error protection), and the GeForce RTX graphics card gives way to its very professional big sister, the Quadro RTX.

Acer has not yet announced the availability of its creation machines, but prices are known. Count 2500 euros minimum for the classic Ezel and 3000 euros for the Ezel Pro model.
